Too young to have a stroke?

Every year, in England and Wales, there are over 100,000 new or recurrent strokes.

Although the majority of stroke victims are elderly, a significant number are not.

Every week nearly 200 people in the UK under the age of 55 have a stroke - that's over 10,000 every year.

Babies, children, teenagers and, in fact, anyone of any age can have a stroke
though there are still some doctors who think that it's only elderly people who are at risk.
