Strokers' Survey 2007
A questionnaire to find out the needs of
Stroke Survivors (Strokers) and their carers was circulated via
GP's and Stroke Groups (Spring 2007).
The main objectives were to find out what the
real needs of strokers and their carers are after the stroker
leaves hospital and is back in the community, and to use the
results to influence the various Health organisations in the
area to target resources at these real needs.
The survey was conducted (as part of a
research project) through the University of Nottingham's
School of Community Health Sciences.
Participants were contacted through their GPs
(or Stroke Group)
Our intention is to put
pressure on policy makers to take note of the results and
implement policies to address them
