National Research
The National Stroke Research Network (SRN) was set up to co-ordinate Stroke Research in the UK in 2007.

The SRN is divided into 8 Regional Groups in England, and Groups for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Regional Group that covers Nottingham is the Trent Local Research Network.

"The role of networks is to increase participation in research studies of people who have had a stroke or are at risk of a stroke, as well as involving them and their carers in network activities. ... "

The Trent Local Research Network comprises of research teams from Sheffield in the north to Leicester in the south, and includes The Nottingham Stroke Research Group.
