Oxton Cricket Club

@astroke has a link to the website of Oxton Cricket Club, 'The Toads', through our
Vice-Chairman Malcom Jarvis who, despite a severe stroke,
still has an active role at the Club.

The Oxton Cricket Club's website includes the team's monthly Toad articles
and other team news.

This link will help @astroke members to access the club's on and off the field activities, and will allow stroke sufferers, particulary people with very low mobility after their stroke and isolated at home, to follow their interests in sporting activities.

It is hoped that, in the long term, members could enjoy days out watching cricket in the countryside and also, if interested, have access to the club's social events.

The club are currently trying to raise money for a new pavilion with facilities for the disabled, as the present toilet facilities are not suitable.

@astroke has made a contribution to the fundraising through the sale of a Malcolm's recent book about the club's history, which you can obtain from Malcolm Jarvis: call 0115 9652976.
