What was FOSS?
Friends of Stroke Services (FOSS) was a voluntary organisation dedicated to improving services for people who have had strokes.
The group of stroke survivors and hospital staff, with the leadership of Ossie Newell, organised fund raising events to provide equipment for the Stroke Wards, and sought to improve the
services provided for people immediately after stroke.
FOSS merged with @astroke in 2007.
